Tommel Financial Services, Inc. (TFS), an Illinois corporation, was started on August 8, 1988. TFS is a National 3rd party equipment lessor. TFS has been members of EAEL, WAEL/UAEL since 1990, ISPA since 1997, and BBSI since 1991. TFS has been a leader in the tanning, beauty, and day spa industries from its inception, and continues to excel in these industries.

Tommel's expertise in beauty and spa financing extends back to 1990. TFS funded its first salon furniture transaction in January, 1990, and entered into a contractual agreement with Takara Belmont. Later that year, TFS was accepted as a member of BBSI, being honored as the first lease finance source to do so.

Tommel Financial Services, Inc. has the distinction of being the first leasing company in the country to offer start-up tanning salon financing. In 1998, Tommel celebrated its 10th anniversary while also exceeding the $30 million mark in funding to the tanning industry alone!
